Sofia Campbell // Motherhood
Meet Sofia. She is a stay at home mom and has one little boy, Elisha Jude Campbell who just turned two.
What does the role of "mother" mean to you?
The role of mother is all encompassing. You are a teacher, protector, disciplinarian. It's a huge honor and responsibility. God has entrusted a life, his child, to me to care for and show what His love looks like.
What is the best advice you have ever received when it comes to motherhood?
I remember Lucas's mom telling us to enjoy each stage that you're in. It's so easy to look forward to the next stage and say," I can't wait until he sleeps through the night," or "I can't wait until he's old enough to travel more." But every stage has its positives and negatives, so be present where you are!
How do you like to spend days with your little one?
Most days we spend together around the house or going grocery shopping. But my favorite days are the ones where we get to go on adventures to the coffee shop, thrift store, or a new park. That's what I looked forward to about being a mom--having a little companion to hang out with and experience life alongside.
What do you find most important in your role as a mother?
My most important role as a mother is to teach Elisha who he is in the Lord, and that he is loved unconditionally.
